The bill (Reg. No. 2600) suggests define the ways of reforming printed media and editorial offices, including the withdrawal of the government authorities and local self-governing authorities from the founders (co-founders) group of printed mass media and editorial offices (in case of absence of state (communal) property in the editorial office property); also the withdrawal of these authorities with the transferring of the editorial office into a business entity with the same name, purpose and thematic focus of mass media or with privatization of the editorial office property that belongs to state or communal property in case for a certain period of time the staff of the editorial office does not submit the proposal regarding its participation in the reformation.
The document also stipulates that printed media, founded by the central executive authorities, should be transferred to official printed media.
The bill stipulates the main aim of reforming state and communal press – spreading objective information in the interests of the citizens of Ukraine.
